Anthropology
I am an anthropologist, storyteller, environmentalist, educator, and artist based in the US in West Tennessee.
I have a PhD in anthropology from the University of Georgia, and I currently teach anthropology at the University of Memphis. My research interests include how knowledge and ignorance are developed and sustained, environmental justice and climate change, the unintended effects of artificial intelligence, and the cultural causes and effects of scientific practice.
If that sounds interesting, head over to the University web site and check out my page there for more academic info.
You can also check out a list of courses I have taught and/or developed, including (for some classes) course syllabi.

Music and anthropology have stories in common. Music is a form of storytelling, specific to a cultural context. Cultural anthropologists listen to and tell stories–stories with the power to shape who we are and who we think we can be.
